Cruising the Caribbean

Picture this for luxury: waking up to a new Caribbean island almost every morning, exploring colonial cities and white sandy shores, swimming among coral reefs and tropical sea life by day, and enjoying high octane entertainment at night before retiring to your private cabin to do it all again the next day. Talk about a luxury holiday.

That’s one of the great things about a cruise – the holiday comes to you, bringing with it a superb range of destinations, new experiences and fun; while you barely lift a finger. And on the subject of new experiences, with the arrival of such innovative ships as Royal Caribbean cruises, you can now really push the boat out and spend your days at sea learning how to surf, taking rock climbing lessons and even ice skating – as well as enjoying fabulous spa treatments and piling on the pounds in your choice of restaurant.

One thing’s for sure, cruise holidays are not the old fashioned experience they used to be. And what’s more you will also find a range of experiences to suit your budget too. It might not be the cheapest holiday you will ever take, but with all those great experiences, new destinations, gourmet meals and entertainment options on offer, it’s pretty good value for money.

If you are on a tight budget, shop around for deals before signing on the dotted line. You can usually snap up a great discount and save money on the overall cost of Caribbean cruise holidays by booking early to take advantage of a new launch and early bird discounts, or by booking at the last minute. Availability might be more limited when booking a late deal but you’ll usually be treated to some excellent discounts and even the odd cheeky upgrade – so keep your eyes open and you’re bound to find something that fits your budget.
