Big Pool At D Leonor

So we took their mini cab for us to get to the big pool. I really thought that Faith could not enjoy it there but thank GOD that the pool is not too deep and beside the big pool, there was actually a kiddie pool too. On the 2nd thought the big pool also have a shallow part.  What we enjoyed there  is the slide, it is long and its round but not that long as Blue Jazz had.

I also like the bucket on the top that when it is full, it will pour so hard on the slide going to the pool. Faith would always exclaimed. “Extreme!”

We definitely got wet but we had so much fun!

We did not spend out there for long, it was almost 5 in the afternoon at that time and we don’t have planned to stay out late. Faith was disappointed since she really like to stay for hours there, but I promised her she can get some carousel rides she agreed with me, only to find out that the rides there were busted.

Till next post.

Transport Strike Today

When we went out this morning, I wonder why there were many people outside waiting for a Jeepney, it is already Thursday and it supposed not to be crowded. I and Faith waited for how almost an hour already, we even walked hoping if we are going to walk going to Green Meadows, there would be at least vacant seat for us but geez we were almost in Mintal and we’re only Catalunan Pequeno, as you can see Mintal is the farthest if you are coming from downtown, we were on the Shell station when one private car stopped in front of us and asked if we going downtown, I told him we will just dropped by in Bangkal and he let us in, thank GOD there was still good Samaritan nowadays willing to give us a ride. We were talking about stuff, he mentioned that there is a transport strike going on that’s why there was no Jeepney.

If only I knew that there was a transport strike, I never let Faith go to school, I mean it is already so hard for us to get a Jeepney in the morning going to school how much more if there is a transport strike, I am sure there will be nothing available and it just proved us this morning. So I need to fetch Faith a little bit early today so we can catch a Jeepney going home right away.

The owner of the car added that there was no much news about the transportation strike so I guess many of us didn’t know that there will be no Jeepney in the street. I hope Mj and Mariel can get home without any hassle at all.

The Feasts

My friend invited me for an inspirational talk last Saturday. The feast supposedly will start at 7 in the evening but since there was a heavy traffic, I arrived almost at 8 in the evening. I thought I will not be able to make it but thank GOD I did.

The feasts was held in SM Lanang but they said that they also have in SM Ecoland, I learned so much about the feasts, it is indeed a refresher, a restart button to have a good relationship with GOD. The talk was very inspirational, you will be able to realize everything in life.

I would like to attend another feasts again, I hope I can make it also to the mass before the talk.

What Is Lenten Season?

Lenten season is according to Wikipedia is a solemn religious observance in the Christian liturgical calendar. It will start in Ash Wednesday where people wear a cross on their forehead out of the ash and from that day on will not or should not be eating pork. Ash Wednesday is the start of the Lenten and is followed mostly by Catholics. This tradition was originally from Jewish, they do penance and fasting during and will start on Ash Wednesday.

Why wearing the cross on the forehead? It symbolizes the dust that we were made from. Remember that when the priest applies the ash on our forehead, he would say “Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return”.

Today is the Holy Thursday, and what should we remember on this day? It is the last supper of Jesus Christ to his 12 disciples. He established the Holy Communion before his arrest. Jesus Christ celebrated the dinner as Passover feast. Jesus Christ was given the task to fulfill his being a Christian and to sacrifice himself to save the world from sin. And he can only save us by doing the final sacrifice.

During the Passover meal Jesus Christ utter this word “This is my body which will be given for you”, while breaking the bread and shared it to his disciple.

This Lenten season, I am looking forward for doing my task but I think it is impossible to do it now while I work during wee hours on Friday. I miss those days that I can do it without minding any work later, but GOD sacrifice everything and why can’t I sacrifice a little of my time to do this task while I know that there is Shrine where I can do the way of the cross even on my own, so irresponsible.
