Preparing For Your Overland Trip

Overland excursions are exciting and fun. When you want to see a part of the country from an entirely different perspective, then you should take an overland excursion. Before you set out on your adventure, there are a few things you will need to make sure that you and your party are safe and the trip goes off as planned.

The Right Stuff

You should buy your overland gear and equipment from an experienced retailer who has a strong reputation for offering quality materials. The last thing you need is your food storage equipment giving out or your tents collapsing. Be sure to do plenty of research on product retailers and find one that is trustworthy enough to sell you the best equipment.

A Guide

If you do not get an experienced guide, then your party can easily get lost. No matter where you take your overland excursion, you want to be sure and hire a reputable guide to get you where you want to go. A good guide will also know all of the best spots to stop and make your excursion that much more fun.

First Aid Kit

A overland excursion can take you just about anywhere, and anything can happen when you are out exploring the wilds of any area. It is critically important that you always have a fully-stocked first aid kit with you that has fresh supplies and medicine in it for any potential need. This includes and special medication needs for guests who have conditions such as asthma or anything else that might make an excursion a little more challenging. It also helps if your guide or someone in your group has first aid experience.

Overland excursions are great ways to get close to nature and really experience what an area has to offer. Before you head out on your adventure, you should make sure that you have all of the important gear and pieces you need to make sure that your trip is filled with fun and lasting memories.

Reasonable Price For A Car

Sponsored post

A friend of mine used to own a 1995 Lincoln Continental.  He loved that car, but it finally began to cost more to repair then the car was worth, after all, sentimentality on goes so far when it hits your budget.  So he donated it to charity, since it had quit running and began looking for a replacement vehicle.

Being on a fixed income, he wanted something that was serviceable and affordable.  He was not necessarily looking for a new car, but if one could be found at a reasonable price.  So where did he go to find a good deal?  He went to Cars.com.

Knowing my friend as well as I does, I was surprised at the car he ended up buying.  I thought he would go for a Cadillac or another Lincoln, but a Scion xb?  Well needless to say I was surprised.  But my friend said no matter how much he loved his Lincoln, the Scion was a much better fit for his budget and that he had said that three of his neighbors had the same model Scions.

He told me that he did his research on cars.com and was very satisfied with his results.  Now he has a used Scion xb and is happy with his new car.

I am not in the market for a new vehicle at the moment, but I thought I would take a look at the car.com website.  Since I live in a semi-rural area, I have thought about replacing my SUV with a pickup or small truck.

What I learned, is that I really don’t need to go and look through a lot Automobile Dealers to find the vehicle I want.  All I have to do is go to cars.com, find a vehicle I might like and the price it is selling for, then go to the dealer and take it for a test drive.

Big Pool At D Leonor

So we took their mini cab for us to get to the big pool. I really thought that Faith could not enjoy it there but thank GOD that the pool is not too deep and beside the big pool, there was actually a kiddie pool too. On the 2nd thought the big pool also have a shallow part.  What we enjoyed there  is the slide, it is long and its round but not that long as Blue Jazz had.

I also like the bucket on the top that when it is full, it will pour so hard on the slide going to the pool. Faith would always exclaimed. “Extreme!”

We definitely got wet but we had so much fun!

We did not spend out there for long, it was almost 5 in the afternoon at that time and we don’t have planned to stay out late. Faith was disappointed since she really like to stay for hours there, but I promised her she can get some carousel rides she agreed with me, only to find out that the rides there were busted.

Till next post.

Get Go Card

I guess planning for a trip will lead to nowhere because recently I and my friends kept on talking about getting tickets and make a reservation for a trip to Palawan but when we are already in the entertainment area in the mall where the Air Phils has their bazaar, we did not make a reservation because one of us could not make it, and the budget was not enough, we thought it is cheaper to book tickets in the bazaar but we found out it is still expensive oh well at least for us.

So we roam around the area and this girl in Cebu Pacific handed us a card, she said we can use it for points if we travel through Cebu Pacific. And the points can be use if we are going to book again. She said I need to register it online, but you see I’d been so busy offline so I was not able to take good care of registering it online. I don’t if I still can register this but I hope so I need to scroll down my email to check the message that they sent to us. On the other hand, how I wish I can use this card for a trip soon, I wonder where and how while I don’t have the interest yet to travel.
