Climate in Roswell

Since I was hooked up with Roswell series recently, I got also interested with how Roswell looks like, their weather or what are the tourist spots that everyone might get interested. Roswell is located southeastern New Mexico. Roswell has a total area of 29.9 square miles, the 29.8 square miles is land and the rest is covered by water.

The Roswell location is  in high plains that means to say since they are in high plains snowfall is a common occurrence, even though snowfall is a common sight, Roswell is usually sunny. Spring is usually warm but can still be cold in some occasion. Summers are hot as expected since they are in high plains. The temperature would always go with 100 F, which is not good. Monsoon usually occurs during summer and can possibly bring relentless downpours. Roswell also experienced thunderstorms and hail and even tornadoes. Roswell would always be thankful if they have rains, not the thunderstorm or hail though. It gives a cooling relief from dreadful heat of the desert. If you are looking for snow, you might want to visit during October and November as there is a big chance for snowfall.

Because Of The Lightning

We didn’t have a car because it is in the shop so after we went to the mall to grocery shop. I told Mj to prepare her things so we can go out in the house a little bit early. Their training usually starts at 7 in the evening so since we don’t have a car we need to go out in the house at 5:30 in the afternoon. We took 3 rides for the Jeepney and 1 ride for the taxi going to Ladislawa, where their training is held. When their coach arrived, he told the kids to warm up but the staff in the pool said they can’t swim because of the lightning. Yes, there is no rain, not even a drop but we can’t still swim because of the lightning. The kids were happy when it stopped for a little while but after they do some exercise to get ready to the pool, the lightning keeps on striking again. We waited for another hour but nothing happens, so we went home without them swimming. Good thing I did not bring Faith with us.

The Image Of The Thick Clouds Above Me

Last Thursday, I was hesitant to go out after I arrived at home because the weather is not good. I knew it will rain because of the thick clouds above but I have to send Mj to Kumon, she was not able to attend last Saturday since they have to finish their project. I went off even warning I’ve seen in the clouds, good thing Mj already waited for me at the waiting shed in their school so I didn’t have to park very long. When we were already at the Kumon, the clouds get thicker and thicker, I was afraid it might flooded if the rain won’t stop for hours, and we are still outside the house.

Because Of The Bad Weather

Last Sunday I went out so early, my shift was changed from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., it is raining really hard. I was already along Roxas ready to hail a Jeepney and it was yet 10 minutes to 8:00 p.m., I realized Jeepney are so full or others does not travel anymore because of the weather. I didn’t bring an umbrella at that time because I thought the rain would stop right away but I was wrong. I should have listen to my niece to bring an umbrella, I could have not been all so wet. I decided to take a taxi cab but there’s no one available. I was able to hail a Jeepney around 8:20 p.m., and all the highways are traffic. Good thing at that time, no flood in all the areas yet otherwise I will be stranded and got late. Good thing I arrived around 8:45 p.m., and I was not tag late.
