Davao Panic Band Won

Acquaintance is done, although Mj went home late because of the said party, my disappointment has gone because my eldest daughter was just so happy when she told me that they won the battle of the band at school. They won the first place! Everything was so overwhelming for her because this is her first time to join the said competition. Since I could not witness it myself, I just waited at home for the news. We did not expect her band to win, but they just did prove their worth.

Transport Strike Today

When we went out this morning, I wonder why there were many people outside waiting for a Jeepney, it is already Thursday and it supposed not to be crowded. I and Faith waited for how almost an hour already, we even walked hoping if we are going to walk going to Green Meadows, there would be at least vacant seat for us but geez we were almost in Mintal and we’re only Catalunan Pequeno, as you can see Mintal is the farthest if you are coming from downtown, we were on the Shell station when one private car stopped in front of us and asked if we going downtown, I told him we will just dropped by in Bangkal and he let us in, thank GOD there was still good Samaritan nowadays willing to give us a ride. We were talking about stuff, he mentioned that there is a transport strike going on that’s why there was no Jeepney.

If only I knew that there was a transport strike, I never let Faith go to school, I mean it is already so hard for us to get a Jeepney in the morning going to school how much more if there is a transport strike, I am sure there will be nothing available and it just proved us this morning. So I need to fetch Faith a little bit early today so we can catch a Jeepney going home right away.

The owner of the car added that there was no much news about the transportation strike so I guess many of us didn’t know that there will be no Jeepney in the street. I hope Mj and Mariel can get home without any hassle at all.

Earthquake

Earthquake strikes again

Yesterday it hits again in Surigao and the magnitude was intensity 6. I and my sister talked about it this afternoon, and she said that there are many huge fishes docked in shore. They were found in Cagayan, Cebu, and Saranggani.

Before the big earthquake happened in Japan few years ago, there were huge fishes found in the shore and they said that once the huge fishes will come out from the deepest ocean, the tectonic plate is disturbed. And everyone is panicked because some huge fishes are appearing in the shore; they said that a big intensity would happen soon. There is even a post about it saying we need to prepare. And I can’t help but get scared, I just hope that if it will happen, we are complete in the house especially my niece, her office is on the top floor in one of the malls in our place. Lord, have mercy on us; I hope this big one will not occur at all.

I Can’t Wait For Super Moon Tonight

When I went out from the house this dawn at 2 in the morning, I thought the one I saw is the Super Moon but I just found out that it’s not. According to Facebook the Super Moon can be sighted tonight. We must grab this rare opportunity because the next Super Moon can be seen again for another 18 years. Thus, if you want to witness how bright and how big this Super Moon is, you must not slip this chance away. And I can’t wait to witness for Super Moon tonight, I am a moon lover, I find the moon very amazing and stunning, I know that they are mostly comes in the same size and the same image but I always find myself taking a picture of it.

So why the NASA did named the Moon tonight the Super Moon?

It is because it would be extra big and extra bright. This Super Moon is the closest full moon to earth and this was last seen on 1948.

According to NASA:

The moon’s orbit around the Earth is slightly elliptical, so sometimes the moon is closer and sometimes it’s farther away. When the moon is full as it makes its closest pass to Earth it is known as a supermoon. At perigree—the point at which the moon is closest to Earth—the moon can be as much as 14 percent closer to Earth than at apogee, when the moon is farthest from our planet. The full moon appears that much larger in diameter and 30 percent brighter. The biggest and brightest moon for observers in the United States will be on Monday morning just before dawn.

Witness this very rare event, remember you won’t see another Super Moon until 2034.
