Planning A Trip Outside Of The Country

I planned to travel next trip, I would like to do it on the 18th birthday of my daughter as my gift for her. My plan is not to throw an 18th birthday party but to spend it outside of the country. I was thinking Singapore or Hongkong. I even thought to bring one of my sisters since she was working in Singapore before and definitely she knows the place so well.

I am about to check what needs to do to prepare for a trip:

I already have a destination; what I’d like to visit in Singapore is Sentosa, the Universal Studio, the River Safari and many more. If not in Singapore I’d like to try Hongkong and one thing I’d like to visit there of course with kids is the Disneyland. Since I already have the place, I need to know then how much would it be the total cost once we are already there. The flight can be book in advance so that’s not part of the expenses once you   get there. You should be doing an extra savings for the fare so you don’t have to touch the savings for the expenses you will incur when you are already in the place.

So you should know the hotels, Inn, hostels of those places, which one is affordable but safe. Yes, you must consider the safety of the area where you will book a hotel to stay especially when you have kids around you. It is better to choose an expensive hotel than to check a hotel which is very affordable but the safety is not good at all, know the cost and the safety at the same time.

Start saving as soon as possible when your trip is just in a year or two. Cut the eating out at all, if you are fund in going to the coffee shop, you need to cut it out. And if you are used to eat in the cafeteria at work, I guess you need to bring lunch from home. In my case, since my work is scheduled in graveyard, and I’m afraid that if I would bring lunch it will just be spoiled so I budget my money everyday. I made sure that I will just spend P100.00 that includes my lunch and my fare at work.

If you have credit cards, make sure that you have applied that gives you reward for travels. I knew some but since I don’t have credit cards, I don’t know which specifically.

When you withdraw from ATM cards, choose your own bank in that way there will be no extra charges.

When it’s time for you to book your flight, check some great deals or of what I know, there are better chances for great deals when you book it in advance.

This is just the first part; I’ll tell you more some tips in the next post.

First Stop In Buda: Alice Log House

We had been planning for a team building last month and I thought it will not be pushed through since there’s one who was against it. However, we were able to make it through even without that team mate.

My workmate and coach went there first since I just have followed them because I have to attend youngest daughter. It was their Christmas Party that day so I have to send her over first. I also left some money for them so they can go to the mall to unwind after the party.

We arrived at the house that we will be staying at 1 p.m., good thing that our workmates who went roaming some tourist spot already arrived and were waiting for us.

When we get inside of the house, we took some pictures right away:

This is the first one, since this was the area that welcomed us right away when we opened the living room. I love these thingies that were on top with the mirror. The design makes you feel you are having vacation somewhere in the states.

Here’s the veranda near the kitchen, expect an extreme cold when you go outside. I have to ask my daughter to hurry up when taking a picture with me sitting down.

This was the outside of the house

Team Buildings And Outings In 2017

Last year, I had a few numbers of team building and visiting some spots that I have never been before. Just last summer, I and the new team from the previous company, we were able to arrange an outing at D Leonor, I’d been with the place before and I guess that was the third time. I was able to visit their new pool for adults where we enjoyed a lot, it’s not near with the cottage that we rented because we have to ride a cab going there, you cannot just walk. It is too far.

Before the summer ends I was able to organized an outing for my family, we went out to Camp Holiday; we rented a room for a night.  I was the hostess so I was the one who spent for that family outing. The family enjoyed the stay in that resort especially the kids.

Just before I resigned from work, I and my workmates agreed to visit the Kapatagan in Digos, we rented a van for us to tour the spots. Although it was raining when we went there, and it was muddy going to Camp Sabro, it was never a dull, we enjoyed the view a lot. We just keep on laughing the whole trip. I missed my friends, whom I became from my previous company, but I don’t have to be sad all the time, I was able to make some friends with my new company.

After we graduated our training with the new company, I and my wave mates together with our trainer agreed to have some fun in one of the beach in Samal. It was just a small resort nothing really big on that resort but the important we were able to relax after the exhausting training.

And last but not the least was the recent trip that we had, we went to Buda just the first week of December, the fogs are just so nice to touch, especially when the night approaches, it was like cotton touching your skin. We rented a log house there; inside it was like you were staying in a house in the United States. I like the Alice Log House, I love the Hill View, if we were there early, we were able to touch the clouds in our bare hands but then it was already late when we arrived but the excitement did not stop from there. The view is very attractive, the nature is just so young and so sweet, I just hope that the place will be reserve and there will be no trees to be sacrificed so everyone can enjoy the scenery that the nature offers.

Hit The Road Going To Camp Sabros

The long wait is over, after of so many arguments and plans, I and my friends in the floor were able to make it. We were able to stick with the plan in going to Kapatagan in Digos. Our original plan is just to commute but my friend’s friend offered us a van that we can rent for a day with a driver. We supposed to rent one room in one of our destination but we changed our mind, with lots of going on in our country nowadays it’s better to go home right after our adventures.

After our shift, we bought things to bring there. I brought already my travel bag, I put lots of pairs there thinking I may changed lots of clothes because we were planning also to swim in the pool but it didn’t push through. It is because after our last destination, it is already almost 5 in the afternoon and we need to be on the road going home.

Traveling the place is easy but going to where we wanna go is a challenge especially when we are about to go home. I thought Camp Sabros can be reached by a car but nope it’s not, it can already reach by a motorcycle but most of the time it can only reach by a horse but when the ground is wet and slippery, it can only reach by walking and that time, we need to walk because it was raining already. Good thing I have my umbrella with me, there were 3 of us brought an umbrella so since we were 6, we shared the 3 umbrellas, 2 pairs each of umbrella. Some of us are excited to experience the zip line but too bad the rain really pours hard that the management did not allow us to use the equipment at all, so we just went there for coffee and for picture taking.

After Camp Sabros, we went to Mountain Highlands but it was just a bad timing because they are not open on Tuesday. So we went ahead to Lake Mirror, and afterward we went to the pool where we can also find the Kublai Park, the place was overlooking, you can even touch the fog that surrounds us since we are in a hill. It could have been nice or even more if we stayed for an hour or two but our time is limited we need to hit the road at least before 6 in the evening.
